The mission of the Tax Commissioner's Office is to bill, collect, and disburse all taxes as prescribed by the laws of the State of Georgia and to act as the Motor Vehicle tag and title agent for the State. Our goal is to perform these duties efficiently and in a timely manner and to provide our citizens quality customer service.

Lee Knight was raised in Union County and attended Union County High School and North Georgia College and State University. Lee worked for 25 years as a marketing representative in the automotive business. Lee is a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and has served with other community organizations and special events. Lee took office on January 2, 2013.
